We Bridge the Opportunity Gap ... Equipping Our Students to Close the Achievement Gap

Education Foundation of Bloomington

The Education Foundation of Bloomington is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students in Bloomington Public Schools. Our mission is to enhance the learning experience of students in Bloomington Public Schools by acquiring and distributing resources not available through public funding.

2019 Bloomington Heritage Days Parade—Marching with Manuscripts!

The Education Foundation of Bloomington will once again be high stepping our way through the Heritage Days parade and handing out books to kids in the crowd!  The Bloomington Federation of Teachers will be joining us on September 21 at 10 a.m. as we make our way through the streets of Bloomington.

We will be accepting donations of new or gently used books ('like new" condition)  at the Bloomington Schools Educational Services Center any time during business hours (7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday) or at any Bloomington school during workshop week the last week in August.

Come join in the fun along the parade route at Heritage Days and cheer on EFB, BFT, and all the other Bloomington Public schools, bands, teams, and representatives that take part in this grand celebration of Bloomington!  And, don't forget to get a book for the kids!

2019 Chip in for Schools Golf Classic

EFB is so grateful for the sponsors and golfers who made the 2019 Chip in for Schools Golf Classic such a success. The day could not have been better with the weather, the fun and the great community coming together to support BPS students! An estimated $45,000 was earned to support programming for the 2019-2020 school year.

JOIN US IN 2020 - Save the date of July 29, 2020 and come join! The tournament is a shotgun start/scramble tournament so teams work together for their score. Being a great golfer is not a requirement for this tourney - all you need is a set of clubs and the ability to have a good time!
