We Bridge the Opportunity Gap ... Equipping Our Students to Close the Achievement Gap

Education Foundation of Bloomington

The Education Foundation of Bloomington is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of students in Bloomington Public Schools. Our mission is to enhance the learning experience of students in Bloomington Public Schools by acquiring and distributing resources not available through public funding.

United Way Workplace Giving - A Great Way to Give Back to The Education Foundation Of Bloomington and Bloomington Public Schools!

Each year the United Way works with numerous Minnesota companies giving the workforce an opportunity to give back to many organizations in their community.  The Education Foundation of Bloomington (EFB) is eligible to receive those funds and put them to work for BPS students!

The BPS District wide giving period is October 24 - November 1, 2019.  During this period, staff are able to designate funds from their paychecks to the EFB as well as many other organizations within the district and in the greater Minnesota community.  Details on the Bloomington Public Schools giving period can be found on the district website.

In addition to the staff giving, spouses, friends and family are also able to designate part or all of their donations through their workplace campaigns to the Education Foundation of Bloomington (EFB), which supports BPS students and staff through Children's Food for Thought, Innovation Grants, Prodigy Awards and student scholarships and stipends.  Check with your company to confirm when your workplace campaign begins!

The Education Foundation of Bloomington will once again be high stepping our way through the Heritage Days parade and handing out books to kids in the crowd!  The Bloomington Federation of Teachers will be joining us on September 21 at 10 a.m. as we make our way through the streets of Bloomington.

If you’re interested in volunteering to help EFB with the parade, please sign up!

Come join in the fun along the parade route at Heritage Days and cheer on EFB, BFT, and all the other Bloomington Public schools, bands, teams, and representatives that take part in this grand celebration of Bloomington!  Don't forget to get a book for the kids!
